Cedar Street Galleries presents
Na Manu o Keia 'Aina (The Birds of This Land)
New Works by Michael Furuya

October 3, 2008 to November 2, 2008
Michael Furuya Art Show 2008

Cedar Street Galleries will be hosting the "Na Manu o Keia 'Aina (The Birds of This Land)" art show featuring new original acrylic paintings by Hawaii's wildlife artist Michael Furuya. The show will run from October 3, 2008 to November 2, 2008.

My goal in these paintings is to show people the natural treasures that we have here in Hawaii. Most people will never have the opportunity to venture into the native Hawaiian forest to experience these special places. Many of our native species have already become extinct.

I enjoy creating paintings that stir emotions and tell a story. Being in the wild brings me peace, tranquility, and a rejuvenated spirit. These paintings are my way of bringing the wonder of the natural world into people's everyday lives.
