Cedar Street Galleries presents new works by
Kelly Sueda
September 23-24, 2005
Described as "an architect in paint," Kelly Sueda captures both the busy and more relaxed scenes found throughout the islands. Sueda's impasto style is particularly suited for his interpretations of the ordinary and the extraordinary.
Hawaii-born, Sueda received two BFA's, one from the Academy of Art College in San Francisco, and the second from the University of San Francisco. Since then, Sueda has won many awards and has had numerous shows both in Hawaii and California. His work has been featured in shows and events held in the Honolulu Academy of Arts and the Contemporary Museum of Hawaii.
Sueda's commissions and works are in numerous collections throughout Hawaii, including the State Foundation on Culture and the Arts, the Bank of Hawaii, First Hawaiian Bank, Sheraton Hotels, the W Hotel, the Supreme Court of Hawaii, the Hawaii State Capitol, and Queens Hospital.
